Out has been out on German rock stages
for a long time.
The band has always seen itself as a live band, regardless the line-up of the
day.
Extensive tours throughout rock clubs and pubs all over Germany were very
successful. The members of
DROP OUT
proved very worthwhile playing festivals and supporting famous rock acts.
In the 90s video producer S. Maier became aware of
the band‘s live qualities and made his first live clip for MTV with
DROP
OUT.
More than once
DROP OUT
has surprised its audiences with interesting guest appearances such as
charming football cheerleaders, The Phoenix Dancecrew, dancers and
stuntmen from the German theme park "Phantasialand", a
children’s choir or guest musicians (perc, keys, sax, harp, viol, or vocals)
from USA, GB, T and Germany.
In 2003 the band played
live at the official entertainment programme of the famous Tourist Trophy on
the Isle of Man, GB. They hit the stage with bands like Paul Carrack
(Mike and the Mechanics)(GB) and Wheatus (USA).
In 2005 they had
festival appearances with Rage and Symphorce.
In 1999 Drop Out released their
first studio CD, which was called "Heavy Nights"
Two years later the band recorded
their first live album "aLive"
